Inside the Book
The first five books of the bible are an incredibly rich treasury of instruction in how to follow and serve the God of Abraham for believers today because it is a diary of events of infant nation of Israel and the way it learned how to live under God’s patronage. Ever focused on the immediate, and trapped by the situations in which they found themselves, they unfortunately seemed totally incapable of rising above those earthly restrictions as the prophets, such as Moses, did and accept the mighty power of God to assist them to overcome immediate earthly difficult events and problems, and to rest on Him and His wisdom in order to succeed in life. Constantly harping back with selective memories of Egypt, they unrealistically focused on the so called ‘good times’. Even though, time after time God proved to them that He had a ready solution to each and every one of their problems, they could never seem to bring themselves to trust Him and accept that He always knew best.
The reason for the supplementary title ‘Powerful Lessons in Numbers’ is that by reading and studying this and the other books of the Pentateuch, believers can learn a great deal about their God and how they can avoid the pitfalls of unbelief and a lack of faith in the power and ability of God shown by the children of Israel in these early days of their nationhood. Indeed, through the proof of the power of almighty God as recorded in Numbers, along with all the promises teaching and example of God’s Son our Saviour as recorded in the New Testament, believers today have all the evidence and instructional teaching material needed to enable them to be emboldened to believe and fully trust in the God of our Salvation.
The scriptures are full of the certainty of His reality, therefore, with promises of a mansion prepared for all those who truly believe in a new and more glorious Jerusalem God has created, how can we not believe and put our full trust in this amazing God?
This book has helped many to enter into a new relationship with their Saviour.
Meet the Author

In hindsight Peter realised God had chosen him from birth and personally trained and directed him throughout his life. A Jew asked him to write on Genesis, and his rabbinic brother to write on Moses’ Tent of the Meeting.
Peter writes purely by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and has the gift of leading people into a deeper spiritual understanding of the word and a closer union with God. He led the rabbi to a personal meeting with his Messiah through his writing. See A Tale of Three Men.
A Malawian believer said, “Your books have changed my life.”
