Inside the Book
Seven Stars is a story about a horse born under the worst of conditions.
Her mother dies during her birth. Unwanted, she is given away to a family with two little girls who love her and convince her that she is a beautiful racehorse.
When the family is forced to move away, Seven Stars is thrown back into a world that sees no value in her—until an unexpected twist changes her fate. Against all odds, the beautiful horse seizes her chance and enters herself into a championship horserace, winning it!
However, unaware of her triumph, her owner takes her back to the auction barn, where she faces the threat of the glue factory. The climax of the story is especially gripping, adding a layer of suspense that lingers long after the final page.
Meet the Author

Mary Margaret was born in San Antonio, Texas, to Italian American parents. Her talent for creative writing stems from being surrounded—as a child—not with luxury, but with beauty, art, literature, architecture, poetry, and love.
"Whenever our family gathered, there were not stories to be told. These were great stories of the old and new country, and of the exciting and remarkable lives of relatives, both living and passed. Each story was so vivid, and you could visualize its characters and place because it was told so eloquently and with great passion."
Mary Margaret is the recipient of the Editor's Choice Award from the National Library of Poetry, 1995, for "Wildflower—A Love Poem."
Her Books: “Seven Stars”, “Prince Frederick’s Especially Great Day”, “Beau!!….The Fire Rescue Dog???”, “Instead of Me”, and “Oh No, Please….Not the Bird!” are also available.
