Involved by Accident II: There But for Grace
Peter Lambert
It is late September, six months since Stephen Leigh-Grace first met Nita Patel and left Portbridge. He is bringing his boat Finbar II back up the river to her winter mooring, having spent the summer cruising around the Channel Islands and the South Coast of England with his daughter Emma and her family, Mary and Richard. He has kept in touch with the detective he’d first met while hospitalized following an attack he’d suffered at Eastertime. He has arranged to meet her at the NCB wharf in Portbridge to catch up on what has happened in their lives since April.

Peter Lambert
Author
Peter Lambert was born in Ilkley in West Yorkshire in 1946. He grew up enjoying the freedom of rural life, spending many hours as a child roaming the famous Ilkley moors. Educated locally, he subsequently attended college, studying Weaving, Tuning, and Fabric Design before working in the family’s textile business for many years as the company’s representative. It was here he developed a passion for driving, forcing him to consider a career change. He retrained to be an HGV Class 1 lorry driver.
Married, he and his wife have seven children between them from previous relationships, who reside across the UK and the world.
There But for Grace is Peter's second book of the trilogy. It continues to follow the lives of Stephen and Nita's newfound friendship. Could it lead to a more serious relationship?
